Switchcraft Logo

Switchcraft, Inc. was established in 1946 to manufacture jacks, plugs, and switches, mainly for the communications industry. The company has grown steadily and manufactures products in three locations, the largest of which is in Chicago, where the company is headquartered.

The company was owned by Raytheon from 1977 until 1997, when it was sold to company management and a private equity company. Two years later Switchcraft acquired Conxall (connects all), a manufacturer of circular connectors and cable assemblies.

Switchcraft has been the OEM supplier for jacks, toggle switches, and slide switches for pretty much every USA-made guitar brand since 1950. Fender, Gibson, Hamer, PRS, Jackson, Anderson, Suhr, and on and on. If it was made in the USA, it almost surely came with some Switchcraft parts.
